The Madison Animal Hospital offers boarding services for our current patients. What better place to have your pet stay when you are away than their veterinary hospital? Should any medical problems arise while you are away they will be in the perfect place! Also if your pet has a medical issue or is on medications we can easily accommodate!
We offer indoor and outdoor kennels. Outdoor kennels are for those beautiful days to spend lying on the grass outside instead of cooped up inside! They even offer shade from the sun! Indoor kennels, located beside our staff break room, are spacious and clean and newly painted. Several windows allow for ample natural lighting. Our kennels for cats and small dog visitors are located in the staff office area and pets are allowed free time each day to roam the back half of the clinic, where they often claim desk-tops and keyboards as their space.
Our staff is constantly walking by your pets, talking to them, and checking on them while they stay here. Dogs are walked outside 3 to 4 times a day. We have staff come in during the later evening hours to check up on your pets and make one last trip outside before settling in for the night. Rest assured your pet will receive the best care and attention while you are away.
We do have some vaccine requirements for animals who will be staying with us.
- For dogs we require: current rabies vaccine, distemper, adenovirus, parainfluenza, parvovirus, (all found in the distemper vaccine) and bordetella (kennel cough).
- For cats we require: current rabies, viral rhinotracheitis, calicivirus, and panleukopenia (distemper) vaccines.
We also recommend you bring your pet’s food and treats they are getting at home. Sometimes changing a diet quickly can cause an upset stomach. Feel free to bring their bed or favorite toy. Also, bring any medications they are on so we can set up their schedule so they don’t miss any doses!
